1. What Ask the Dude does
Ask the Dude helps users navigate Hospitality Dude, understand general hospitality topics, find tools and frame the next useful question. Responses may be generated by an external AI provider or, if that service is unavailable, by a limited local guide.
2. Limitations
- AI can be incomplete, outdated, biased or confidently wrong.
- It does not know all facts about your business and does not verify every statement unless the answer expressly cites a source.
- It cannot approve dismissals, licences, safety decisions, filings, contracts, payments or regulated advice.
- High-impact decisions involving employment, allergens, food safety, licensing, tax, debt, health or law require verification and, where appropriate, a qualified human.
3. Data and safe use
Chat inputs and recent context may be sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Do not enter passwords, payment details, identity documents, special-category information, confidential employee/customer data or material you are not authorised to disclose. See the Privacy Policy for lawful bases, processors, retention and rights.
4. Human handoff
Where a question is case-specific, urgent or high risk, Ask the Dude should state its boundary and direct you to the relevant human route. A displayed response does not mean a human has reviewed or approved it.
5. Feedback
Report unsafe or clearly inaccurate answers through the contact route, including the question and answer but excluding unnecessary personal data. Feedback may be used to test and improve instructions, routing and safeguards.
